PAC-10 Unveiled New Logo Plus More
I just stumbled upon this when look at some articles on ESPN and then going to the Pac-10′s website and Wikipedia. And, since I like to create logos and it’s one of my specialties, I had to write an article about this.
After looking over this new logo the Pac-10 unveiled on their Media Day, it’s a pretty clean, simple, professional, and cool-looking logo. However, why did they reveal the logo when Utah and Colorado will be joining the conference in the two-year span and when the conference confirmed that they’re renaming the conference to the Pac-12. So, why reveal the logo now when it’s inevitably going to be changed in two years?
But, with that set aside, they’ve done a pretty cool job, especially made a huge face lift on their website that’s awesome, brand trailer that was pretty cool, but kind of over-killed it with the blasting music and low volume on the narration.
It seems like the Big Ten will have some competition, and hope that they do something about it soon in their Media Day coming next Monday, with the unveiling of a new logo and a new site too, which their current website looks like crap, not updated as much and boring. I think they should update the Big Ten Network and its website to make it simple, yet active and fun.
So below are a couple logo variations of the new Pac-10 (12). The first one is their primary and the second is of course their alternate.

You know, although I dig the new logo, it feels like a PGA tournament logo.

It seems to me that alternate logos are the better-looking ones than their counterpart.
