I was just checking out IGN Movies here earlier today and found some pretty good movie news, and thought to share those with you here.

Godzilla Coming Back To America Once Again
In a news post made by Sci-Fi Japan yesterday, Legendary Pictures and Warmer Bros. have confirmed and acquired the license to produce a film on Toho’s and Japan’s most iconic character, Godzilla! As quite a few of you know me, I’ve been a HUGE Godzilla fan when I was little, and so is my brother. Godzilla last appeared in 2004 in the film Godzilla: Final Wars, which was released in the U.S. in 2006. Also, his last big screen appearance in the U.S. was Godzilla 2000 in October, 2000, and the last Godzilla film made by the U.S. was Godzilla (1998).

The King of Kong
An awesome documentary movie about two guys who are essentially the greatest Donkey Kong players of all-time. Hell, I can barely pass the first level of the game and they can get to the kill zone, but I still love the game nonetheless. Billy Mitchell held the best score record of Donkey Kong for over 20 years, until a challenger named Steve Wiebe beat Billy’s high score with over 900,000 in front of a good-sized crowd. However, Steve celebration was short when Billy came back to achieve an impossible score of over 1,040,000. But, in August 2006, Steve beat Billy’s highest score of over 1,040,000 with a total amount of close to 1,050,000 points, and still holds that record today.

My Own Playstation 3
After a year since the release of the Playstation 3 and reporting on the release at the Nicollet Target store in Downtown Minneapolis, I now have my own Playstation 3! I purchased the 40GB version with the free Spiderman 3 Blu-Ray movie. I know that some of you are trying to say to me on why I didn’t get the 60GB with the backwards compatibility. Well, I originally was planning on getting one, but after much debate with myself, i know that I didn’t even play any PSOne games and rarely any PS2 games (the God of War series, Guitar Hero, the Kingdom Hearts series, and Final Fantasy XII are the only games I’ve played on the PS2). So I though it was better off to just save $100, especially for a console that plays Blu-Ray movies. If I decide to play one of the games that I’ve already played on the PS2, I can just go and get a PS2 for a little over $100.
